Binghamton Mass Murders

Today is a very sad day for Binghamton, New York. So many lives were senselessly lost by a crazed foreign national.

For anyone who knows the heartbeat of Binghamton can recognize this location and town as a city in great decline. The government has placed undo taxation and regulations on that region forcing business to relocate or close. The weather is mostly cloudy and very depressing. Today's weather is typical of what residents experience most days.

Having investigated countless assignments in Binghamton I am not surprised. Not far from this site is the Binghamton Psych Center where overcrowding pushed many clients onto the streets. The intersection of Front and Main Streets is a known site for prostitution, drug dealers and high crime. It’s a hub for drug activity from New York City where much of the illegal drugs in the northeast pass through Binghamton and surrounding communities. It’s quaint, quiet nature make an ideal setting for narcotics traffic, just don’t walk the streets downtown in the evenings with a police escort.

While families mourn their loses I am not only concerned for them but this cities' future. It is a time to look at how properly the political leaders have mismanaged New York State. Many of the city’s population come from other nations and fill the student roles at SUNY Binghamton - a place known for international groups.

This murderer probably had no loyalty to that region but a self centered men having little to do with the American Dream.

I am concerned about this cities' future. While the media develops this story, it's a perfect time to look at the government there. It is a time to look at how poorly political leaders have managed New York State. Upstate New York suffers from manufacturing jobs and has become a “services only” area. Much of the city’s population comes from other nations and fills the student roles at SUNY Binghamton - a place known for international groups. Property taxes are sky high and businesses have left in droves. I moved my business for that very reason.

This murderer probably had no loyalty to that region but was a self centered men having little to do with the American Dream. Now he is in hell. We need to pray for those affected by this evil act.
